Amarillo hops are citrusy with a distinct grapefruit-like taste and aroma. Some examples using Amarillo hops are 3 Floyds Gumballhead, Rogue's Yellow Snow IPA, Stone's Levitation Ale, Southern Tier Hop Sun, Clipper City Loose Cannon, and Green Flash Hop Head Red Ale. Hopefully I will be able to buy the grain in bulk, as Appalachian offered to sell me organic base malt at cost. This will be my first IPA I have formulated a recipe for.
